Mira,
Here is a copy of the message that I sent to my representative. If I get a serious response I'm going to need your help to take advantage of the open door. Is there a title/website that you would recommend that could give me a complete picture of this struggle.

H.R. 808: To establish a Department of Peace and Nonviolence

Mr. Rush,

As a concerned citizen, mother and voter, I am pleading with you to stand up for peace in this time of difficult global turmoil.

I teach children throughout the city of Chicago who are struggling to understand what kind of world they will inherit. This generation has been exposed to daily demonstrations of what can result from power that is influenced by evil: 9/11, Columbine, Iraq, Darfur... (I will start weeping on my keyboard if I continue) and they are waiting for us to be their hero.

I would welcome the opportunity to work with you on this effort. I would consider it a blessing of great proportion to stand beside any elected offical who has the political will to FIGHT FOR PEACE.

Please consider this heartfelt request as the beginning of what could be a powerful continued dialogue between two Americans who truly believe in the capacity of individuals to make change.

Sincerly,
Adenia Linker

Mira

Yes, go to

www.thepeacealliance.org

Rather than a struggle or a fight it is a formalized movement to a higher level of reasoning and consciousness at the Federal level. FOR PEACE. When The Department of Peace bill is enacted, it will be the result of a natural evolution of our society.

Nice letter, BTW!
